so i broke up with my boyfriend in april and we were pretty silent with eachother.. but recently like in june i started talking to him again and i told him that i dont like like him but i want to be his friend..


so him and my best friend dont get along so well and im mad at him for being a jerk to her..


so we are fighting.


then he tells me about how his new fav song is 21 guns by green day.. ';give up the fight, throw up your arms into the sky... you and i';


and thats kind of like he wants to stop fighting


and then i mentioned my fav song love drunk by boys like girls ';i used to be love drunk, but now im hungover, ill love you forever, but forever is over'; kind of saying i dont want to go out with him





i still like him a little bit though! and his sister (shes 17) told me not to like him... wut should i do ?This shouldnt be so hard for guys to answer...?

in my opinion he is just talking to you because he still likes you alot or he thinks he can still get what he wants from you. you should be a friend to you best friend and not have him around you friend will be there for you longer and better than an ex boy friend. guys dont want to stay friends with ex. unless they can still get some. that what i think and i am a guy and have bin in those situations
My philosophy - an ex is an ex for a reason. Why did you break up in the first place? It's SUPER rare for people to change, especially in that short amount of time, so I would just stop talking to him. If his sister told you it's not a good idea, then I'd listen to her - she's probly heard his side of the story too.
Why don't you try just sitting down and calmly, Keyword, talking it out, Have a really deep conversation about everything and see where you both stand after that, Guys can be just as emotional as girls, they just like to act tough and not show it, Just talk, get him to talk, it helps...
Definately don't go back out with him, just be his friend... If you only like him a little and if it probably won't work then there's a good possibility that you and he both will be hurt in the end.

You still like this guy but you are using someone else's lyrics to say what you feel? And he is doing the same thing? Maybe when you are both able to speak your own minds you can work something out. But my advice is stop playing these kinds of games and get on without each other. You can't make someone like you and being sentimental and/or cute with song lyrics isn't going to change that. Besides, you mention I don't like him-I'm mad at him-We are fighting-I don't want to go out with him..What are you wasting your time for? It seems you are answering your own question.
It will turn out to be the case 9 times out of 10 that after a relationship the former couple will hate each others guts. it's the natural order of things and you really shouldn't take anyone who likes green day seriously as they are a proven douche bag. So I say go out live your life, be young, have fun, meet new people, dance, laugh, smoke ganja, whatever you can find to advance yourself, and leave the american idiot at the douchebag convention.
